【記録】習ったイディオム ～只今ワーホリ中～

　今回は最近習ったイディオムを紹介しようと思います。

• slip my mind

　意味：うっかり忘れる

　例文：I'm sorry I didn't get you a present. It slipped my mind that it was your birthday.

• (someone's) name escapes me

　意味：名前が思い出せない

　例文：I've seen that animal before, but its name escapes me.

• ring a bell

　意味：心当たりがある、聞き覚えがある

　例文：That name rings a bell! I think I went to college with her.

• keep in mind

　意味：覚えておく、心に留めておく

　例文：You should keep in mind that it gets cold in winter and pack some warm clothes.

• took a trip down memory lane

　意味：過去の楽しかった思い出を振り返る、懐かしく思う

　例文：John and Alex took a trip down memory lane as they talked about their school days.
